LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Grow, Learn, Do, Give

For many generations, CU Boulder Hillel has had a passionate and dedicated student board that has truly been the lifeblood of the Jewish community at CU Boulder.  Hillel is looking for students who are excited to give back in a meaningful way, ready to take on cool projects and grow their skill set, and has a high desire to meet new people both in Hillel and on campus.

We have a variety of high-level internship opportunities available.  These internships are uniquely tailored to you - expanding upon your talents and helping you learn skills that are transferable to other jobs and life.  Hillel provides a semesterly stipend, as we believe if you are giving in a meaningful and impactful way, you should be compensated for your work.

Administrative Interns
Do you love organized data? Lists? Checking things off of a to-do list?  This position is an extremely vital position that directly supports our staff and ultimately our organization.  The Admin Interns are our university-facing liaisons, help sort data, send out communications to our student board, work with staff to set up systems for a better functioning organizations, and more.  This role is for someone who is interested in giving back, very responsive with our staff team, but also likes having the flexibility to accomplish tasks in their own time.

Birthright Israel Interns
CU Boulder Hillel takes three Birthright Israel trips a year — one in the winter and two in the summer. That’s over 120 students traveling on Birthright in one year! Give back the gift by helping to recruit students on a trip of a lifetime, host fun reunion events and parties for those who have already been, and work to get the word out about this free trip!

Buffs4Israel Interns
Israel is a very special place for so many of us at CU Boulder.  Work hand-in-hand with our super smiley Israel Fellow, Assaf, to bring so many Israel programs and opportunities to campus.  This semester, students will cook Israeli foods, hear from Israeli speakers, and dive deep into learning and discussion around the tough stuff.  You could have a BIG role in making all this happen by applying for the Buffs for Israel team today!

Engagement (Outreach) Interns
Now, more than ever, people are craving connection. Did you know Hillel has a variety of cohorts, social distance gatherings, and unique ways to make really great friends?  If you love grabbing coffee with a new friend, reaching out to people to check in, and are interested in growing your social networks - this engagement internship is for you.  It’s great networking practice and looks great on a resume.

Jewish Life Interns
If you love the Jewish holidays, then this team is for you! Jewish Life Interns help plan the religious life experiences (such as Shabbat services, the High Holidays, and Passover Seder). They also help plan fun events revolving around the Jewish holidays (such as Drag Bingo for Purim and an ugly sweater party for Hanukkah). Whether you like leading or planning, if you love being Jewish, this one is for you!

Marketing Interns
If you have a knack for social media or digital design and want to get paid for your work, this is where you want to be.  As a non-profit, we have a variety of constituent groups and a variety of ways of interacting with those groups!  We are looking for graphic designers, social media wizards, journalists, marketing majors, and more.  You can walk away from this internship with experience, new additions to your portfolio, and cash in your pocket.

Program Interns
Do you want to make the magic happen? Program interns have a really unique and cool role this year.  They will oversee our primary two programmatic pieces at Hillel - the Shabbat experience and BuffX: Experiences Powered by Hillel.  Our 2,500 Jewish students will have the ability to apply for funds to host their own Jewish experiences throughout the semester.  Program interns will monitor and approve funding applications, creatively shape student experiences, and help other students infuse Judaism into their lives.

Community Service Hours
If you want to volunteer or complete community service hours, feel free to reach out to our staff for opportunities to volunteer at Hillel.

As always,

CU Boulder Hillel is committed to being a home-away-from-home for every Jewish student on campus.
